 MacDonald Ranches of Bismarck, ND teamed up with some of their most progressive commercial customers to organize the first-ever Genetic Partners Salers Influence Commercial Female sale. 

 Top Selling Consignments:

    Bred Heifers:

The top selling group of bred heifers was a draft of 5 head of red high percentage Salers heifers that brought $1975.  The heifers were consigned by the Hammond Ranch of Hardin, MT and their entire group of 30 bred heifers averaged $1875.

 

    Heifer Calves:

Top selling group of heifer calves were a pen of 45 head of black Salers X Angus first cross females that sold for $1125.  These heifer calves were consigned by Mielitz Brothers of Bellingham, MN.

 

Averages by Consignment:

Group 1 – 21 head of straight Angus heifers bred to Salers bulls consigned by Erbele Ranch of Streeter, ND.  Average price - $1800

Group 2 – 30 head of high percentage Salers heifers bred back to high percentage Salers bulls consigned by the Hammond Ranch of Hardin, MT.  20 red heifers averaged $1925 and 10 black heifers brought $1775.  Average price - $1875

Group 3 – 19 head of Salers and Optimizer heifers consigned by MacDonald Ranches of Bismarck, ND.  Average price - $1905

Group 4 – 20 head of black Optimizer heifer calves consigned by Burkle Ranch of Fredonia, ND.  Average price - $1050

Group 5 – 50 head of black, red and baldy Salers X Angus and Salers X Hereford heifer calves consigned by Davidson Brothers of Bonesteel, SD.  Average price - $957

Group 6 – 20 head of red high percentage Salers heifer calves consigned by the Hammond Ranch of Hardin, MT.  Average price - $1075
